“The aim of the programme is to educate the civil servants in RIS countries about the importance of citizen engagement in urban mobility and to give them a few simple tools that can be applied in their cities.
The programme will be launched in autumn 2023 and will consist of approx. 4 modules of 4h each (online) and a 2-day site visit to one of our partner cities.
At the moment, the modules we consider including in the programme look the following:
1. Methods to co-develop city solutions with citizens’ needs in mind
2. Facilitating workshops
3. Planning and evaluating a city pilot from a citizen and user perspective
4. Communicating with citizens about mobility
5. Nudging and other tools to facilitate behaviour change for sustainable mobility.
We would like to organize a focus group with cities to fine-tune the topics of the modules. The aim of the focus group to hear from the cities if the modules meet their needs and expectations. We would also like to know if there are the topics that are missing and that should be included in the training. The focus group would last 1 hour and we plan to schedule it at the end of March, according to the availability of the participants.”
